On Thursday, I got a polymer clay book! Oh JOY!!!! :D

On Friday, I worked late :-( But not too late for The Dark Knight! Now where are my pencils..

On Saturday, I read the book. And berangan-angan.

Yesterday, I smelt an Australian armpit.

Today, I want to make pixel tongues and pong GUIs.

80s Baby

I used to hate everything 80s. "Oh God, the 80s.... No one wants to admit they remember the 80s!" I remember reading in some magazine. I thought 80s was the most embarrassing era, and if there was ever a time machine, only idiots would wanna go back to the 80s. Who likes frizzy hair, shoulder pads, and those darnawful neon colours? *shields eyes*

Highlights from Phuket (Pt 1)


Haven't had time to sit down and organize the pictures we took at Phuket for our company trip since we got back. Was going through the photos just now and saw this pic someone took of Lin and me, which I think deserves a spot on the Highlights From Phuket list.

I look like I'm shouting a warrior chant "OOOhhEEEYOOOeeeeyoooOOO!!!!"

I sat down in the chair, looked up into the bright light, and saw his face there.


I gripped on to his sleeve tightly and looked at him with fearful eyes and exclaimed,
"UNCLE!!!!! I WANT TO TELL YOU FIRST, THAT I AM VERY VERY VERY SCARED, OKAY???? OKAY????!!!"

He said "Okayyyy, don't worryyyyyyyyyyy" in his calm tone that he probably uses for every patient, and continued, "Since you scared, I will inject more lah okay?"

So soon half my face was feeling numb, while Dr Louis (who happens to be my friend's dad-- I'm glad he's a dentist and not a gynecologist) was waiting for the local anesthetic to take effect, he sat there and made some conversation with me.

"Long time never see you... so what are you doing now?"

"Oh uh my wisdom tooth is kinda pain and uh--"

"No I mean what are you doing now... as a job.. heheh" he chuckles.

"OH! Right. Silly me. Sorry!"

After the extraction, with half of my face numb and a cotton swab stuck in me mouth, I asked the nurse,
"Ghn hnnai gheeb ghidct?"

And she said,
"Sure you can keep the tooth, no problem!" and clipped it into a plastic bag for me to take home.



Isn't it funny how teeth will always smell like........... teeth?




So yeah. Everything I eat for the next few days will be laced in blood.

I feel so....

My band Alaling & The Kaya Koks are shortlisted alongside another indie artist in Msia to go to Hong Kong for a gig by Nokia! Gasp. We're ecstatic to be even chosen, whether or not we get it hehehe. We blogged about it and you can read it here.

In other news, my back's skin is totally peeling like nobody's business after returning from our company trip to Phuket. I tried to tan my front so that it can be the same colour as my back, but tak jadi. Never underestimate the powers of sun block, peopleeeeee!

In the end, his new toy was named Nerdle. I love that name! So does Chocolat, my Winxp PC. YEAH what an unholy union right, Mac and PC.

"Oh... I was born with Bluetooth (just like other Macbooks), so my owner doesn't need to get a dongle :-) "

I found out the pixelart thingy I made of Nerdle<3Chocolat actually make pretty rad glasses.

So I've been shopping online a lot lately, considering how many gazillion online boutiques there are and how they tend to go to the same suppliers that boutiques in Bangsar use. Heh heh.

Buttt this is not about online shopping (guys, heave a sigh of relief-- for once some woman is not gonna talk about shopping-- sorry boyfriend you're not spared entirely though, tonight we need to talk about those heels I purchased, are they the right colour? You think? Like, omg. heh heh).

I came upon this post on one of the subforums under Lowyat.net. Usually any posts on the forum has to start off with a [WTB] or [WTS] tag, which means "Want to Buy" or "Want to Sell".

This particular post said "[WTB] Bao Bei's Attention." No need to explain what this guy wants to buy lah kan. hehh.

I can't decide if this guy is sweet or stupid, or both, and if the girl is heaven-sent or wallet-bent.

You go read lah. Read the replies too, coz there's one post where Miss Bao Bei replies, where you'd just go "Hokayyyyyyyyyy....."
